The Usage page says I’ve used an app for below the time limit I’ve set, but the rule blocked those apps.

The page may not be up-to-date. If it doesn’t update in a few minutes, export a troubleshooting log and send it to me. Also double check that another screen time app, or the Screen Time settings isn’t blocking the app.

Some apps are being blocked even though they’re not part of a rule in OpenAppLock. Why is this?

Even while OpenAppLock is active, apps may be blocked if they’re set in Screen Time settings, and from other apps which have Screen Time access. Double check in Settings -> Screen Time which apps have access and which apps are included under App Limits.

If you’ve double-checked these settings, export a troubleshooting log and send it to me.

Does the app include parental controls/communication settings?

It’s not currently planned for this app. The purpose is strictly to provide an app blocker for those who want to reduce their screen time.
